PUAN-Chapter Gwadar’s Project "Save Environment-Save Earth"

Shout Out for YES & Access Alumni Gwadar!

 YES and Access Alumni from Gwadar organized a two-day project about environment on 30^th and 31^st August 2014 by the help of Pakistan US Alumni Network’s newly established Chapter in Gwadar. Through the project a number of students got the opportunity to learn about environmental threats for instance; global warming, climatic changes and natural hazards at the same point students got an opportunity to be a part of a beach cleaning activity in the West Bay (Padi Zir) of Gwadar.

The project was divided into two parts; first part was conducted for the female students on 30^th August 2014, at Newtown Grammar English Language Institute. Through the workshop, the YES and Access Alumni shared information and presented a presentation about the environment.

The second part of the project “Beach Cleaning Activity” was led by the male Access alumni at West Bay (Padi Zir) on 31^st August 2014. A number of other kids and students also joined the group during the activity. The group was successful in cleaning the “Kallag” side of the beach. They did not only help the site maintain its attractiveness, but also broadened the awareness of citizen responsibilities which includes cleaning the environment we live in.
